MAJOR OH NOOOOES!

The person that runs http://eclipseopencasting.com/ emailed us and says the website is working with Summit on this casting call and that it's a FREE casting call, not a scam. Amanda Bell -The Twilight Examiner also emailed and said that they got the information from Summit and the Casting Call is LEGIT.

Unfortunately Summit Entertainment doesn't have an open communication line with all of the fan sites (only a "chosen" few) so I had no way of confirming this. I am beyond pissed for being put in this situation.

With my sincerest apologies to http://eclipseopencasting.com/ here is our post for the open casting call, once again:

Do you have what it takes to play the uber bitchy wolfgirl Leah or the super sweet Seth? Well here is your chance to possibly brush shoulders with Rob :)

Go HERE for the open casting call.

Interview with Eclipse Director David Slade

200906141200.jpg David Slade, who will be directing the sequel to New Moon, Eclipse, has a new interview with Fearnet. He says–

What will differ about Slade’s Twilight? “I don’t really know. We haven’t even started shooting yet.” While the director says he has a basic idea of what he wants to do with it, he is more concerned with telling a good story than being “different.” “It is darker, and there is a lot more action than the previous two,” he admits. “The third book is from Bella’s point of view, but the film will be more objective.” And just how will he do that? “We are going to focus on the origin stories of several characters, like Jacob, and show how Bella will decide between Edward and Jacob.”

Read the whole piece over at Fearnet.

*SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT!!!!*

BIG Uh-OH!

Hey guys! Remember like two or three days ago I posted something about Summit having an Open Casting call for Eclipse? Well, it turns out that it's a SCAM.

A BIG MESSY SCAM!

If ever you were already planning on submitting your audition tape, better put it on hold cuz no OFFICIAL word has come from Summit itself and whoever did this as a joke should definitely GET A LIFE. >:( Seriously.

My sincere apologies to all those who were duped by this hideous scam...

HUUUUUUGE thanks to ROBsessedpattinson.com for the heads up...

From ROBsessed: Summit Entertainment is NOT having open casting calls for Eclipse at this time. There has been an open online casting notice being circulated by a company that is using Summit Entertainment's name and logo to lure people to sign up for their pay subscription website. Read the fine print before signing up with any company that claims to be casting roles for Eclipse. It does NOT cost anything to audition for legit acting roles! The casting directors do NOT use ANY pay subscription websites to cast for Eclipse. There has also been a person who has been impersonating a Summit Entertainment employee and making false claims about this website. The following is the ONLY official website for Summit Entertainment: www.summit-ent.com.

ECLIPSE Open Casting Call!!

200906121735.jpg

Summit Entertainment has just announced an open casting call for the roles of Seth and Leah!
They’re asking for people to produce an audition video and submit it HERE. More details, rules for submission and the audition scripts are also on that site. Remember, this is a legitimate audition so only submit a video if you take it seriously.

Summit’s representatives from ActorCast will then contact the people they wish to call back for a second round of auditions.

Good luck to anyone auditioning!

Jackson Rathbone Looking Forward to Eclipse

Jackson Rathbone was asked why they didn’t get much into his backstory during New Moon, and he told TeenMag–

“Well it doesn’t really come out too much in the book. It’s one of those things were it’s understood but in the third book it really comes out like the back story and everything.

“I think one of the things we didn’t want to get too much into was focusing on all the other vampires.

“We wanted really to establish this relationship and how she (Bella) gets sucked into the world of the Cullen family and once she’s in the world that’s when things kind of start coming out.

“One of the things about Jasper is he doesn’t use the ability all the time. It’s something that he’s very strict about using because it’s like an invasion of privacy to make someone feel something, to manipulate emotions.”

Robert Pattinson Will Star in Breaking Dawn

If there was ever any doubt that Robert Pattinson wouldn’t be appearing in the fourth movie of the Twilight Saga,Breaking Dawn, he has confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that he’ll be appearing in the film–

Pattinson told The Hollywood Reporter that he is committed to starring in the final outing to date but doesn’t know when backers Summit Entertainment will begin production because of the actor’s jam-packed shooting schedule.

He also talked a bit about the fact he’ll be appearing as a flittering image of Bella Swan’s mind in New Moon–instead of just a voice:

Said Pattinson, laughing: “You’re playing a figment in Bella’s imagination so I was trying to do it in a 2-D way. I hope it doesn’t translate onscreen as being boring.” The hardworking actor is taking a few days off after completing “New Moon” before the start of the “Remember Me” shoot. He plans three days off after an eight-week planned shoot for “Remember Me” before finishing “Eclipse” before October.

Audio Interview with Michael Welch from New Moon

Here’s a new audio interview with Michael Welch, who plays Mike Newton in New Moon. Of interest, he compares Twilight with New Moon–

“I think Twilight was really Summit dipping their toe in the water”…..”this time around … they put a lot of money in it, with time and prep–Twilight felt like an independent film compared to New Moon”

He also says Chris Weitz is one of “the better directors I’ve ever worked with” and that filming for Eclipse starts in August.
